Nature: 1 - Me: 0-ish?

Moin,

not much to say about that hike - unfortunately.

I had planned a long hike (nearly 30km and 1000 m of elevation gain) but not long after leaving the paved roads near the parking lot and heading into the “wild”, I ran in trouble with the local nature.

The one bad thing about the Saxon Switzerland is, that paths away from the main hiking routes aren’t properly maintained. In this case, the first 3 km of trails were completely overgrown and the plants caused severe allergic reaction on my legs and arms…

Instead of 30 km I had to shorten the hike to 16km and 600 hm. Turning back to get home faster wasn’t an option, as that would have meant to cross the “killer” plants once again.

Nevertheless I took some nice images with my Canon R50, that I’d to share with you.

And now it’s 5 a.m. on a Saturday, I will finish my coffee, bring the luggage down to the car and then strap the mountainbikes onto Freddy (the car) and head for our two-week vacation in the Alps.

Have a great time, everyone.
